Color as craftsmanship

At the color chair, it's the strand that decides, not the catalog

Before every major color change, we test how your hair reacts on a single strand – only then do we mix the color for the whole head.

Whether a lightening treatment holds depends on your hair's history: old color residue, sun, heat from the straightener. That's why we first look at your hair dry and work out the necessary steps – sometimes that means two appointments instead of one.

  • Hair analysis on dry hair before mixing
  • Strand test for lightening treatments and color changes
  • Color formula is recorded and continued next time
  • At-home care recommendations, no obligation to buy

A good haircut doesn't show in the salon, but on the third morning after – when you can manage it on your own.

Craft

Training, technique and ongoing education

Everyone at the chair has completed hairdressing training; we build on this with fixed practice and training sessions throughout the year.

Cutting Technique

We work both dry and wet. The dry cut shows how the hair falls in everyday form, while the wet cut gives the precise line. For curls, we cut strand by strand while dry, so the bounce stays visible.

Colour and Bleaching

Before every lightening treatment, we check the hair structure on a test strand and set the processing time accordingly. Balayage means freehand application of the lightener to the lengths — this creates a soft transition instead of a hard regrowth line.

Bridal Styling

We rehearse updos in full at the trial appointment, including veil, comb, or flowers. We record pin placement and product build-up in writing so the wedding day unfolds exactly the same way.

Consultation and Diagnosis

It starts with a look at the scalp, porosity, and your previous colour history. Henna dyes, natural colours, and heavily stressed lengths change the plan — we clarify this beforehand, not at the basin.

Men's Grooming

We set contours with clippers and a razor, with transitions worked out by hand. Beard shapes follow the direction of growth and face shape, not a template.

In-Salon Training

Once a quarter there's an internal practice evening, along with manufacturer seminars on colour and care. New techniques are practised on a model first before they make it into the appointment calendar.

Choosing an Appointment

Who's right for which concern

You don't have to commit when booking: if you don't name a team member, we'll assign the appointment based on focus and time needed. More important than the name is the right appointment length — a balayage on dark natural hair takes considerably more time than a root touch-up. If in doubt, give us a quick call and we'll work out the duration and process together. The following overview shows which time slots we plan for which work and what the effort depends on.
