Getting in touch

Three ways to reach us

During opening hours, someone is at the front desk to take your call; written inquiries are answered in batches, usually the next business day.

Call the salon

You can reach the front desk at +49 30 23125105. Short-notice appointments and rescheduling are sorted out fastest over the phone.

Inquiry via form

Tell us your desired service and two or three possible time slots — we'll get back to you with a concrete suggestion. You can also reach us at hallo@salon-scherenwerk.invalid.

Consultation beforehand

Before colouring, balayage, or bridal styling, a short consultation appointment is advisable. Read about how it works on the Consultation page.

Getting here

Between the Nikolaifleet and Speicherstadt

Deichstraße is narrow, cobblestoned, and easy to miss — our salon is at number 5, just a few steps from the water.

Historic brick houses along the Nikolaifleet in Hamburg's old town, with a narrow cobblestone alley in front
View from the fleet towards Deichstraße.
  • Rödingsmarkt subway station: about a five-minute walk via Willy-Brandt-Straße
  • Stadthausbrücke S-Bahn and U-Bahn station: about an eight-minute walk
  • By bike: bike racks right in front of the building, more near the fleet access
  • By car: parking garage at Großer Burstah, a three-minute walk from there
  • The entrance is at ground level, and the treatment stations are step-free

If you're visiting for the first time, it's best to allow a five-minute buffer: the alley calls for walking pace, and the house numbers are small on the narrow gabled facades. If you don't spot us right away, just give us a quick call — we'll guide you there.

How appointment booking works

From inquiry to appointment

To reserve the right time slot for you, every inquiry goes through four fixed steps. This way, you know in advance how long your visit will take and what it will cost.

Tell us in the form or by phone which service you'd like: women's or men's cut, coloration, balayage or bridal styling. Two details are important: your current hair length and whether your hair has already been dyed, bleached or treated with henna. These determine the reserved chair time — a men's cut takes up 30 minutes, a balayage with toning up to three hours.
