Between the old merchant houses on Deichstraße, we cut, colour and style in calm rooms with plenty of daylight. Appointments by arrangement.

Calm rooms in a merchant house
We work in one of the old merchant houses on Deichstraße: wooden floorboards, tall windows looking onto the lane, and only a few seats so it stays calm.
Three workstations
We deliberately haven't added more seats. That way no one sits shoulder to shoulder, and we can talk calmly during the cut.
Dedicated wash area
Two reclining spots are set apart from the mirrors, with adjustable neck support. Colour and care products are rinsed out there, not between the chairs.
Space for colour
We mix colourations and balayage at our own counter, with daylight from the window to assess the result.

Two areas, one flow
Cutting and styling happen at the front by the window, washing and colour at the back in the quieter part of the room – during your appointment you'll switch sides once.
Workstations and wash area
At the front are the three mirror stations by the tall windows: that's where we consult, cut and blow-dry. The wash area is behind, with two reclining spots with adjustable neck rests. Jackets and bags get their own hook, and the cloakroom and waiting bench are right at the entrance.

Location and access
You'll find us at Deichstraße 5, 20459 Hamburg, just a few steps from the Nikolaifleet. The lane is cobbled and narrow – on foot from the city centre, it's the shortest route. If you're coming by car, it's best to use a nearby car park, as there are no dedicated parking spaces right outside the building.

How to find us
The salon is located in Hamburg's old town, in the quiet part of the lanes behind the main shopping streets.
From the main station and Rathausmarkt, you can reach us comfortably in just a few minutes on foot, as you can from the city centre's U-Bahn and S-Bahn stops. If you're coming by car, it's best to use one of the city centre car parks; on the street itself there are only a few paid short-term spaces. Bike racks are available within sight of the entrance door.

In the salon
Your visit from arrival to farewell
Every appointment with us follows the same sequence, so you know what to expect – whether it's your first visit or you've been coming for years.
You arrive, take off your jacket and bag, and take a seat in the front area. We offer coffee, tea or water. Please allow five minutes as a buffer, so the consultation can begin calmly and not still in your coat.
Before washing, we discuss your wishes and what's achievable while the hair is dry: hair structure, existing colour, growth direction, daily routine and styling time at home. For colour work, we capture the result using colour charts and, if you like, your own reference photos. We state the duration and price range here, not only at the till.
At the reclining basins, the head rests supported while the neck stays free. We choose shampoo and care products based on scalp and hair condition, and take time for a brief head massage. For colouration and balayage, washing only takes place after the colour application.
At the station, the actual work follows: cutting wet or dry hair, colouration at the roots, balayage as freehand-lightened sections, or styling for a special occasion. Along the way, we show you in the mirror where things stand, so length and tone can still be adjusted.
Finally, we blow-dry and shape the hair and explain which techniques and products you can use to recreate the result at home. If you like, you can try the technique yourself.
You pay at reception and can book your follow-up appointment right away. For colour, a sensible interval is usually four to six weeks; for balayage, considerably longer – we note the formula and cut details for next time.
Times
When the salon is quiet
Three chairs, two basins: how much calm there is in the room mainly depends on the time of day.
Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are the quietest – good times for long colour appointments and for bridal trials, where you want to discuss hairstyle, dress and schedule without being rushed. Thursday and Friday from late afternoon onwards, as well as Saturday, tend to be the busiest.

Appointments by arrangement. We prefer to schedule long colour and bridal styling appointments during the quiet morning hours.
