Your appointment knows your hair
If you come to us regularly, you don't start from scratch every time: cutting line, colour formula and care are noted down, and the next interval is agreed together.
Your customer card
We don't start from scratch every time
After every visit we record what was done and with what: cutting line, colour build-up, processing time and the care products you took home.
What's in the card
- Colour formula with mixing ratio and processing time
- Cut length, layering and parting line
- Durability of the last colouring, based on your feedback
- Care products you took home last time
- Sensitivities and preferences you have mentioned
What we discuss fresh every time
- How the cut and colour have held up since the last appointment
- Whether the length should stay or the regrowth should become softer
- How much time you have for styling in the morning
- What interval to the next visit is realistic
Recurring appointments
Four agreements that save time
We handle most of the appointment planning right there in the salon, while the result is still fresh and you can see how it feels.
Book your follow-up appointment on the spot
We set the next visit while you're still in the chair. That way you get the time that suits you, not just whatever is left.
Colour formula noted
Mix, oxidant and processing time are recorded in your card. The result can be repeated or deliberately shifted by one shade.
Care between appointments
We tell you what to wash with at home and what to avoid – tailored to your last treatment.
Short-notice changes
If something shifts, call us during salon hours. We'll find the next suitable slot, even for shorter services.
From arrival to goodbye
How a follow-up appointment works
From your second visit onward, there's no need for the long initial consultation – we check what has changed and carry on from there.
- 1
Quick check-in
We look at your card together and you tell us how the cut and colour have held up since the last appointment.
- 2
Assessing your hair
Regrowth length, ends and colour tone are assessed on dry hair – this determines whether we keep the formula or adjust it.
- 3
Working as agreed
Cut and colour follow the noted line. We mention any changes beforehand, not afterwards.
- 4
Updating the care plan
If a product has run out or didn't suit you, we swap the recommendation and note it for next time.
- 5
Setting the next interval
We suggest an interval that suits your hair and your daily routine, and book the appointment right away.
Rhythm
Which interval suits your hair
How often you should come doesn't depend on the calendar, but on how fast your hair grows and which technique we last worked with. On average, hair grows about one centimetre per month.
This results in different intervals for each service, which we determine together at your appointment and note in your card.
Root colour and colouring
When retouching colour, we only work on the regrown section at the root, usually the first two to three centimetres. The greater the difference between your natural colour and the chosen shade, the sooner the roots become visible. With bold red tones and light blonde on dark natural hair, the interval is shorter than with a shade close to your own colour.
- Roots close to natural colour: roughly every six to eight weeks
- Noticeable colour difference or grey hair: roughly every four to five weeks
- Length refresh usually only needed every other appointment
Balayage and freehand techniques
With balayage, we apply the lightening freehand to the surface of the strand, without a hard line at the roots. This means the transition grows out softly and needs correction less often than foil highlights. Between appointments, we refresh shine and tone with a toner without lightening, so the blonde doesn't turn brassy.
- New lightening: roughly every three to five months
- Shine and tone refresh in between: roughly every eight weeks
- Lengths are lightened at most once per appointment
Cut and shape
A cut lasts as long as its shape can carry the added weight. Short shapes at the nape and transition lose their contour fastest, while long shapes last noticeably longer. If the ends fall differently than usual when drying, or styling takes longer in the morning, that's the sign it's time for your next appointment.
- Men's cut and short women's style: roughly every four to six weeks
- Medium-length layered style: roughly every eight weeks
- Long style, ends only: roughly every ten to twelve weeks
