First consult, then cut
Every treatment starts with a conversation: we take a look at your hair, listen to what you want, and tell you what's possible today and what will grow in step by step.
What the consultation covers
We ask about three things before the scissors come out: what you want, what your hair can currently handle, and how much time you have for it in the morning.
Your desired look
Feel free to bring photos – from your phone, a magazine, wherever. A picture clarifies what's meant much faster than words like "a bit shorter" or "a warm blonde".
The condition of your hair
We look at the structure, growth direction, roots and existing colour. Chemically pre-treated hair reacts differently from untreated hair – this determines how much lightening makes sense in one appointment.
Your daily routine
A cut that needs twenty minutes of styling every morning doesn't suit everyone's schedule. We ask how much time you'd like to invest and tailor the shape and colour accordingly.
These are the points we go through
Five points are on the list in every conversation so that no one is surprised by the result, the duration or the bill at the end.
- Cut shape – length, layering, parting, and how the shape grows out until your next visit
- Colour tone – target colour, root blending, and whether we achieve it in one appointment or two steps
- Care – which products suit your hair and what you can do at home
- Time needed – how long the appointment takes and whether a cut and colour together make sense
- Cost estimate – what the planned treatment costs before we begin

The tone is decided on the hair
With the colour swatch fan held against your own hair, you can see where a tone will actually go. What looks warm on screen can turn out cool at the roots – that's why we hold the colour up to the light before mixing it.
View colouring servicesHow the consultation works
The conversation takes place at the seat in front of the mirror, on dry hair – wet hair falls differently in every shape, and colour is hard to judge on damp hair.
- 1
Listening and looking
You tell us what's bothering you and what you have in mind. We go through your hair, check the roots, lengths and ends, and ask about previous treatments – colour, bleaching or straightening.
- 2
Suggestion and objection
We suggest a shape and tone that suit your hair and daily routine, and tell you honestly if a wish isn't achievable in one appointment. You're welcome to object before anything gets mixed.
- 3
Process, duration and price
Before we start, you'll hear which steps follow, how long they take and what they cost. We only begin the treatment with your agreement.
Consultation without treatment
Some decisions need time to think over – a colour change, a much shorter style, styling for a wedding. For these, you can request a conversation on its own.

Frequently asked questions about consultations
The same questions always come up before a first appointment: how long does the consultation take, what does it cost, and what should you bring? Here you'll find the answers we'd give you in the chair anyway – so you come prepared and we can spend the time on your hair instead of on organisation.
