How your appointment works with us
From your enquiry through the consultation and treatment to aftercare advice for home: you know in advance what happens, how long it takes and what it costs.
From first contact to going home
One appointment, five stages
We plan every slot with a buffer so the consultation doesn't happen in a rush — a women's cut gets a full hour with us, a balayage gets half a day.
-
1. Enquiry
Write to hallo@salon-scherenwerk.invalid, call +49 30 23125105 or use the contact form. Let us know which service you'd like and two or three possible time slots — we'll get back to you the same business day with a suggested appointment and the expected duration.
-
2. Consultation in the salon
Before the first cut, we talk at your seat about your hair structure, head shape, previous colouring and your daily routine. For colour, we look at the colour chart together and determine the tone at the root. Then we confirm the price range — only then do we begin.
-
3. Wash and treatment
This is followed by a wash and head massage at the basin, then the cut or colour. For colouring and balayage, there's a processing time between application and rinsing; you'll be offered coffee, tea or water and can relax in your seat during this time.
-
4. Finish
Blow-dry, styling and fine-tuning of the contour and fringe. We'll also show you the back view in a hand mirror and make adjustments while you're still seated. If there's anything you don't like, this is the best time to say so — in the salon it can be changed within minutes.
-
5. Care recommendation
Finally, we go over how to maintain the result at home: washing frequency, the right shampoo, heat protection when blow-drying, and a sensible interval until your next appointment. On request, we'll book your follow-up appointment right away.
The consultation
Three questions before the first strand
Hair structure, daily routine and the desired look determine whether a hairstyle still looks good after four weeks — that's why we clarify these three points before the scissors come out.
What we go through at your seat
For a cut, the conversation takes about ten minutes; for colouring, longer. It ends with a clear outcome: what we'll do today, what's saved for the next appointment, and what it costs.
- Hair structure: density, crown pattern, growth direction, porosity and the condition of the lengths
- History: previous colouring, bleaching, perms or straightening treatments
- Daily routine: how many minutes you want to spend styling in the morning and how often you wash your hair
- Desired look: photos, colour chart, desired length — and what's achievable in one appointment
- Outcome: a concrete proposal, duration and price range before we begin

What you can bring along
A photo says more at your seat than ten sentences about length and colour — and if you bring your hairband or comb for a bridal hairstyle, you'll see the result exactly as it will be worn on the day.
