Your first appointment at Scherenwerk

For women's and men's haircuts including initial consultation, washing and blow-drying, we allow 45 to 75 minutes. A coloration takes about two hours depending on the regrowth length, while a balayage – the freehand lightening of individual strands for soft transitions – takes three to four hours. For bridal styling, we schedule the trial appointment separately at around 90 minutes.

For a cut, it depends on the effort involved and hair length; for color, it also depends on the amount of color needed, the number of strands, and whether pre-treatment is required. You'll be given a price range before we start; if the scope changes during the appointment, we'll discuss this with you beforehand.

We recommend it for lightening treatments and major color changes. We treat a hidden section at the nape of the neck and check how your hair reacts to the product. This takes about 15 minutes and helps avoid surprises, especially if you've previously used henna or semi-permanent dyes.

No need. We wash your hair at the salon. For colorations, one to two days of unwashed hair is actually preferable, as the natural sebum layer protects the scalp. Please avoid dry shampoo and strong styling products on the day of your appointment.

Two to three photos of hairstyles you like, and feel free to include one you don't like – this helps narrow things down faster. It's also important to share information about previous color treatments, straightening, and any medications or allergies that could affect your scalp and hair structure.

Please cancel by phone or email at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the slot to someone else. For longer color and bridal appointments, we appreciate earlier notice, since several hours are reserved for these.
