A salon for people who value real craft.
Salon Scherenwerk is an owner-run hair salon on Deichstraße — since 2012, with a settled team, a calm atmosphere and a clear standard for every cut.
From an idea to a fixture on Deichstraße
Salon Scherenwerk began in 2012 with two hairdressers, a lease in an old merchant's house and the belief that a visit to the hairdresser can be more than a quick cut on the side. We wanted to create a place where you can take your time — for the consultation, for the craft and for the conversation at the wash basin.
The two chairs of the early days have grown into a well-rehearsed team. We train apprentices, we keep learning and we share techniques and trends — but the underlying attitude has stayed the same: we work for the person in the chair, not for the photo afterwards. Every cut and every colour should fit into everyday life and be easy to restyle at home.
Our place in the heart of Hamburg's old town shapes how we work: unhurried, careful and with an eye for what lasts. Between brick and canal, people from the neighbourhood come to us just as much as guests who deliberately make their way to Deichstraße. Many we have accompanied for years — from the first appointment to the wedding style.

Craft
Clean cutting, careful mixing, precise blow-drying: we rely on solid hairdressing craft rather than quick effects — and keep training continuously.
Honest advice
We tell you openly what suits your hair and what does not. Sometimes that is less than you expect — but always what leaves you happy in the long run.
A settled team
The same people work together here over years. So your stylist knows your hair, your preferences and your history — appointment after appointment.
A mindful approach
We pay attention to skin-friendly products, sparing use of water and materials, and short distances. For us sustainability means care, not an advertising promise.
